Blix Vika X and Macfox M16 both offer motor assistance without requiring constant pedaling. Vika X adds a folding frame and electronic gear changes. M16 combines a lower long seat, front suspension, and wide 16-inch tires with a single-speed drivetrain. A useful comparison starts with whether folding and variable gears solve something you do every week.
The feature you use before the ride starts
Blix lists Vika X's folded size as 36 x 21 x 29 inches. Folding the frame makes it possible to use spaces that cannot take a complete bicycle, such as a suitable vehicle cargo area or storage nook. For someone who regularly drives to a riding destination, that can be the feature that makes the bike practical.
M16 measures 56 inches long and 27 inches wide, and its frame stays assembled. If there is an accessible parking space at home, the routine is simple: unlock it, roll it out, and ride. There is no folding latch to operate before each outing. The question is not whether folding is a premium feature; it is whether reducing the parked bike's length solves a real space problem.

Vika X can change gears for you
Vika X has an eight-speed electronically operated drivetrain, including an automatic mode. Manual electronic shifting remains available when you want to choose the ratio yourself. For a rider who likes pedaling but finds repeated shifting distracting, that is a substantial part of the bike's appeal.
Its 500W rear-hub motor uses a torque sensor, so assistance can follow pedal effort. Electric Bike Report's Vika X test described a natural pedal feel, especially in lower assistance settings. That observation explains why a compact folder can still appeal to someone who wants to enjoy active riding rather than rely primarily on the throttle.
The 614.4Wh battery supplies the motor and the bike's electronic functions. Vika X also includes a throttle, so neither its gears nor its folding frame commit the rider to pedaling all the time.
M16's simplicity shows up at the controls and seat
The Macfox M16 electric bike has a 500W rated motor, thumb throttle, and single-speed chain drive. There is no ratio to select manually or electronically. For relaxed local riding, the rider can focus on steering, braking, and how much assistance to use.
Its seat is listed at 28.7 inches, and the long padded surface gives room to reposition. The 16 x 4.0-inch tires and front suspension add cushioning for everyday pavement. Vika X instead uses a conventional adjustable saddle and 20 x 2.4-inch tires. The difference is not simply “small versus big”: M16's lower seating and wider tire format serve a different preferred riding position.
For someone who enjoys the M16 fit, the combination of low seat and throttle can be more valuable than an automatic shifter. For a rider who wants to tune leg extension and pedal cadence, Vika X offers more adjustment.
Charging and errands
Both batteries are removable. M16 has 499Wh, while Vika X has 614.4Wh. Blix provides more nominal capacity in its standard configuration, but actual distance still depends on assistance use and rider effort. The practical common benefit is that either battery can go to a charging location separately from the bike.
Vika X's supplied rack and fenders also make it useful for bag-carrying errands. M16 is appealing for personal daily rides where a low, cushioned seat and uncomplicated controls are the features you want most.
Choose Vika X when folding space and geared pedaling are recurring needs. Choose M16 when you can park the whole bike and want a lower-seated e-bike with front suspension and direct throttle control. The extra technology is worth having when it changes the routine, not simply because it appears on the feature list.
