Front wheel axle washer correct and incorrect installation

IMPORTANT FRONT WHEEL AXLE INSTALLATION NOTICE

IMPORTANT
KNURLED SURFACE MUST FACE INWARD — TOWARD THE WHEEL

Please refer to Figures 1, 2, and 3 for the correct installation orientation.

When installing the front wheel, the knurled surface (slip-resistant side) of the black concave washer must face inward, toward the wheel.

Do not install the black concave washer with the knurled surface facing outward.

CORRECT INSTALLATION

The knurled surface of the black concave washer must face inward, toward the wheel.

Install the washer in the orientation shown in Figures 1, 2, and 3, and make sure it is properly seated against the fork.

INCORRECT INSTALLATION

A knurled surface facing outward is incorrect installation.

If the knurled surface is facing outward, do not continue tightening. Reposition the washer correctly before completing the front wheel installation.

AFTER INSTALLATION, PLEASE CHECK THAT

  • The front wheel is fully seated in the correct position on the fork.
  • The knurled surface of the black concave washer is facing inward, toward the wheel.
  • All front axle components are installed in the correct position and orientation.
  • All fasteners are securely tightened.
  • There is no looseness, wobbling, or abnormal movement of the front wheel.

SAFETY WARNING

Incorrect installation may cause the front wheel to become loose while riding.

Before every ride, always check that the front wheel is properly installed and securely tightened.

If you are unsure whether the front wheel has been installed correctly, do not ride the bike. Please contact MACFOX Customer Support or have the bike inspected by a qualified bicycle technician before use.
