Troxus Trax SUV vs Macfox X7: Rear Suspension or a Wide-Tire Long Seat?

Repeated bumps can make an otherwise ordinary ride tiring. Troxus Trax SUV and Macfox X7 both offer ways to soften that experience. Trax SUV has front and rear suspension beneath a conventional adjustable saddle. X7 combines front suspension, extra-wide tires, and a long padded seat. If your regular route has a stretch of closely spaced road joints, rear suspension deserves particular attention; if pressure from a narrow saddle is what makes you stop for a break, the seat itself matters more.

What the rear shock adds

The 2025 Trax SUV has a rear air shock as well as a suspension fork. When the rear wheel crosses a bump, it can move relative to the main frame rather than sending the entire movement directly into it. For a rider who remains seated over a succession of road joints, that can be an important source of cushioning.

The air shock also allows adjustment for rider weight. This is a practical part of getting the suspension to work as intended, not simply an extra component on a feature list. It suits a rider who values that seated cushioning enough to include shock setup and maintenance in ownership.

Its 27.5 x 2.4-inch tires and adjustable saddle keep the familiar feel of a larger-wheel bicycle. The MIK-compatible rear rack and fenders add useful everyday carrying and spray protection. A buyer planning to pedal with a bag on the rack has a clear reason to consider the complete arrangement.

X7 cushions the ride in a different set of places

The Macfox X7 e-bike uses a 20 x 4.5-inch front tire and 20 x 5.0-inch rear tire, front suspension, and a long padded saddle. The fork absorbs front-wheel impacts, the large tire air volume offers cushioning, and the seat provides more room to reposition during an outing.

The standard seat is 30 inches high. A rider who prefers this lower long-seat arrangement may find it more inviting than setting a conventional saddle for continuous pedaling. The thumb throttle and single-speed drivetrain also allow a straightforward stop-and-go routine without selecting a starting gear.

X7 does not have a rear shock. Its rear comfort therefore comes from the tire and seat rather than suspension movement between the rear wheel and frame. That is the useful distinction for a buyer: if repeated rear-wheel impacts are the specific issue, Trax SUV adds a component aimed directly at them; if seat shape and relaxed control matter most, X7 has substantial benefits of its own.

Battery capacity and the way you use assistance

Trax SUV has a 750W rated rear-hub motor and a 720Wh battery. X7 has a 500W rated rear-hub motor and 624Wh as standard, with a second-battery option. Both are hub-driven bikes; a larger wattage figure alone does not tell you acceleration, hill speed, or how comfortable the trip will feel.

The Troxus starts with more single-pack capacity. X7 can expand its energy storage for longer outings. A rider who mostly wants a comfortable local loop may place more importance on the seat and suspension than on adding maximum capacity. Someone combining several trips between charges has more reason to weigh the battery setup closely.

Which comfort feature addresses your route?

Trax SUV is a strong option when you want a conventional adjustable saddle, supplied luggage equipment, and rear suspension for repeated seated impacts. X7 is a strong option when you want a lower long seat, substantial tire cushioning, and direct motor control for daily electric bike riding.

Both can make the same paved route more enjoyable. The decision is whether the rear shock and bicycle-style fit are features you will appreciate more often than the X7's wide-tire, long-seat arrangement. A comfort purchase is best made around those repeated moments, not around the SUV name or tire width in isolation.
